Practice 1

Practice replying to the blog here:
1. Find the word "comments" at the bottom right of this text, it might say "2 comments" or "5 comments", depending on how many comments were entered. The words would be underlined indicating a link (a link leads you somewhere else).
2. Click on "Comments".
3. Follow the instruction given under the Blog's Title.

Also find a Tag Board (Easy Talk) on the Right Side. The Tag Board is separate and independent of the Blog. It is easier to operate - just enter text underneath in the Message box, then your name (like Moochie) in the Name box and push the Tag button. Practice this as well.

Good practice to all! Do not skip this exercise!

This is the beginning. You have explained what to do and how to do it. Very well done. This is one of my practice assignments.

I just realized that my google account is my email address and my Blogger display name is moochie. I had been using moochie for my google account, therefore the password never worked. That's why I've gone to my google account then to Blog. At the google account site I used my email address and password. I wasn't thinking.

Hi Moochie,

When I use the blog it just suggest my user name, I never need to login and enter passwords.
Also you (and others) can simply click on Other identity and type the user name. The point is that you do not need to have a google account or be logged in. Everything is designed for the simplest use.

Ok. Thanks. I shouldn't have anymore problems. Maybe I thought I was following your instructions and wasn't.

My Computer is freezing often. It is five years old with a window' 98 system and a 40 Gigibite hard drive. I am now ready for a new computer. Is the 250 Gibibite hard drive sufficient? How do I transfer date to the new computer?

250GB is great. I normally copy my files to the CD on the old PC and then stick that CD/DVD into the new one and copy from there. They also offer all kind of gizmos like a wire to connect one computer to another; you then need to run their software. It is good for those who is into this. At work the tech guy just puts both computers on the network and I use Windows Explorer to copy what I need.

And welcome Tal to this blog. Do not forget to try the Easy Talk on the right side to qualify for the next lesson.

i hope we learn to play checkers as well as we are being encouraged to learn to operate a computer.

That bad? :)

Anonymous I apreciate your comments. The only reason I suggested taking computer classes was for all players to improve their checker game using the computer. Some negative people look for negatives in most things. I hope you are not a negative person. Try it. If not try me at the national tournament. You didn't give your name. Why?
